Friends of Lansdowne Public Meeting

The City of Ottawa is not hosting any public meetings on the quarter of a billion dollar Lansdowne Park development so community groups are taking matters into their own hands. The Friends of Lansdowne, together with the Kanata Beaverbrook Community Association, Glebe Community Association, Old Ottawa South Community Association, Old Ottawa East Community Association, Centretown Citizens Community Association, Riverview Park Community Association, New Edinburgh Community Association, the Rural Council of Ottawa-Carleton and the Federation of Citizens Associations Ottawa-Carleton are holding a public meeting at Lansdowne Park on Thursday, June 17th -- the day the last report on Lansdowne comes out.

At the meeting, a panel of experts will explain the design plans, the traffic study, the financial implications and the many other issues. There will be opportunities to ask questions and voice your opinion.

Please turn out, to learn about this complex project that will transform our neighbourhood and for which the City has not held a single community consultation.

7:30pm Thursday, June 17, Civic Centre, Salon A  (free parking available on site)
