The Planning and Environment Committee will consider the rezoning required for the Lansdowne Park redevelopment on August 24th. The 29-page staff report outlines the City’s rationalization for the changes was made available to the public only on August 17th – seven days prior to the meeting.
Some points worth noting from the presentation:
- elimination of heritage overlays for both the Aberdeen Pavilion and Horticulture Building
- 16-storey high buildings along Bank Street and 4-6 stories on Holmwood
- an estimate that of $200,000 in legal fees for appeals at the Ontario Municipal Board
